Simformer team is proud to announce, that on 5th of March, the 1st stage of Simformer Business Cup 2016 was completed. Around 400 participants from 40 different countries gathered to demonstrate entrepreneurial and management prowess, creativity in a simulated business environment.
Various business growth strategies and tactics were used – both vertical and horizontal integration, as some of the participants developed variety of business units. Even though the initial conditions provided the contestants with 3 retail stores in different countries, the leaders decided not to limit themselves – the value chains were created in order to produce, sell goods, using both wholesale and retail, and provide various services. The final goal was clear – maximum growth of revenue and profit in order to increase the value of the business.
And as Stage 1 was getting closer and closer to an end, it was becoming obvious, that market data analysis, bold decisions, aggressiveness and creativity reveealed the winners.
However, not everyone was successful – only 42% of virtual companies ended 30 turn period with a positive cumulative profit.
